We Help Our Community's Students Succeed Through Scholarships

 

Hauser Dollars for Scholars^® began it's existence as  Hauser Community Scholarship Foundation in 1988.  The chapter was formed by a supportive group of parents and community leaders from Hope, Indiana.  Their ambitious efforts were to secure funds to make college possible for deserving Hauser High School grads.  Fourteen students received a total of $4,200 that first year. We typically award 20-25 high school and post high school applicants dividing roughly $20,000 each year now.  Over the last 25 years, over 750 scholarship recipients have received support toward their college aspirations, with an excess of $500,000 going to deserving students.

Hauser Dollars for Scholars is supported by dedicated alumni of Hope High School, Clifford High School and Hauser High School.  Over $10,000 is made available annually through the endowments to honor loved ones and honored citizens of the Flatrock-Hawcreek Community.  The chapter's most recent donator wasn't an alumni, nor a resident, but was a WWII veteran that was moved by the Veteran's Day programs and the loving support of the Hope community.

Current Hauser seniors and their parents help to raise funds each year toward scholarships. The current Hauser Dollars for Scholars board is actively promoting the chapter.  We had our second Willow Leaves fundraising dinner in the spring of 2024. Fall of 2024 we had a fun night putting on temporary basketball tattoos at a basketball game. We had a gingerbread house competition at a basketball game in December, 2024. We look forward to our third annual fundraising event at Willow Leaves on February 9, 2025. Those attending this event will experience a meal provided by the Willow Leaves kitchen and entertainment by former and current Hauser students as well as a Silent Auction. Students- if you haven't already volunteered to help at one of these events, be sure to sign up for Willow Leaves fundraiser.

 

Window will open for 2025 scholarship application on Feb 15, 2025.

Post-grads please note- you must upload an unofficial transcript to your profile for GPA verification on your profile to be considered for a scholarship 

 NOTE!!!  Scholarship window closes on March 31, 2025 at midnight.  If you are not seeing the scholarships that match to your profile- particularly post high students- you must be sure you open each item on the dashboard....even if it is 'green' and click the 'submit' button at the bottom.  When you have done this, you should have a small window open that allows you to answer the essay question unique to that scholarship. Be sure to click "Apply" after you submit the essay answer.
